Nathalie Scott, MSW, RCSW, RPT-S

I’m so glad you are here.

I’m a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist- Supervisor in BC with more than thirteen years of experience, specializing in child & adolescent psychotherapy and the treatment of trauma. I offer a compassionate space for you and your child as we navigate the courageous journey towards growth and healing. My services include child & adolescent therapy, parent support and individual adult therapy.

My therapeutic approach to working with children is playful, rooted in the science of child development, and aimed at restoring their functioning and joy. I integrate evidence- based approaches to best meet the needs of your child and prioritize your treatment goals.

Do you want to better manage anxiety, reduce stress or overcome trauma symptoms like flashbacks, chronic anxiety and feeling numb? Through adult therapy, I can help you transform how your mind and body hold onto trauma so you can live with more ease and resilience. I also help parents address overwhelm and strengthen the connection with their child. It’s hard to pour from an empty cup. We will get you on track to mental wellness so you can settle back into your role with more confidence.

I obtained a Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary (2010) and have taken extensive specialized training in child & play therapy over the years. I have had the privilege of working with adoptive families, sexual abuse survivors, children with a history of trauma and adjustment concerns like complicated grief.

As a mixed race and multilingual person of Caribbean descent, I strive to maintain a mindful awareness of how race, cultures, and gender can intersect and influence our sense of self. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and kids, digging around the garden, or enjoying a good mystery novel.

My practice is virtual and I also offer in person appointments for children and adolescents at my office in Ladner, BC.
